SPANISH PROGRAM
The Department of International Programs offers the opportunity to
participate and share in everyday Argentine life and culture.
Universidad FASTA, accredited by the Ministry of Education in
Argentina, guarantee academic excellence as well as a well-structured
program, enabling students to earn college credits while enjoying
outdoor activities in Patagonia, the most beautiful place in
Argentina. All levels of Spanish courses are organized in four-week
intensive study units (25 hours per week or 15 hours per week).
Students with advanced Spanish Level may also complement their
language courses with courses taught in Spanish: Panorama aborigen
de la Patagonia; Los grandes temas de la filosofía; Introducción a
la economía; Historia argentina; Sistemas políticos; Análisis de la
información internacional; Literatura argentina.
The EPatagonia program has three levels of study from Beginner to
Advanced. Each course lasts four weeks and is intensive (25 hours
per week) or semi-intensive (15 hours per week).
Admission is restricted to a maximum of 8 students per class in
order to guarantee individual student attention and a valuable
learning experience. A test determines the appropriate starting
level for you when you arrive.
All courses cover the basic language skills of speaking, listening,
reading and writing. There are practical conversation classes with
role-play and debate, which help develop fluency and authentic
pronunciation.
As a student of the Spanish Program you may take courses at no extra
cost from the
regular curricula of the university which is taught in Spanish.

Two excursions to enjoy the region attractions are included in our
Spanish Program. There are several
fieldtrips organized by the Spanish Program that are guided by
the Spanish teacher throughout the 4 week course.
It is possible to arrange special programs for groups. We can
structure a course according to your specific needs. The courses
allow time for additional activities, tourism and recreation so that
you can take full advantage of your time in this wonderful location.
ONE TO ONE
It is also possible to organize individual classes for those who
have a special need for rapid progress without the restrictions of a
group timetable. Dates and teaching times for these courses are
flexible and are arranged according to the needs of the student and
the availability of professors. One to One is recommended for
advanced students who wish to improve their language skills.
LEVELS
There are three levels: Beginner , Intermediate and Advanced. A test
will determine the appropriate starting level for you when you
arrive.
Beginner : The student will be able to understand, ask and
answer questions. You will be able to converse using simple
sentences on general, everyday topics.
Intermediate: The student will be able to understand most
questions and statements at normal speaking rate and to converse
with a native speaker on more specific or technical subjects.
Advanced: The student will be able to use Spanish efficiently,
with a vocabulary and fluency which give competency in speaking and
writing in academic, professional, formal and informal situations.
The student will be able to understand more complex conversations.
CERTIFICATE
Universidad FASTA will award a certificate for Beginner,
Intermediate and Advanced level Spanish courses. The number of hours
of the course will be printed in the certificate .
